    Surrounded by 42-hectares of greenery and flower filled gardens, the hotel is set within a charming historic house, which was once a monastery with an 18th-century church. Set in a striking context: the countryside around the ancient part of Vallo di Lauro, a destination well-known for its archaeological findings and for the production of important national grapes, the Certosa is situated in a strategic position just a few hundred metres from the historical centre of Lauro. The building houses 45 elegantly furnished rooms and a fully equipped meeting room that can host up to 800 people. The cloister is particularly fascinating and the internal restaurant is named after it.

  • The monastery, built between 1197 and 1209 at Lauro, a medieval small town in Avellino province, soon became a place of spiritual refuge and agricultural production (very famous for the quality of its products). In 1620 it became an Abbey and in the following century was transformed into a magnificent country residence.
