The earliest commonly accepted reference to Crowthorne comes from a map made in 1607 (John Norden's survey of Windsor . ...Forest). The map had Crowthorne mentioned as the point where three paths through the forest met. Corus Hotel Bracknell is an excellent base for exploring Berkshire, Thames Valley and London.
